Kathy M. Gandara is a licensed California attorney, having been admitted to the California State Bar and the U.S. District Court in June 1995, after graduating with honors from University of La Verne School of Law.
Kathy began her career in 1995, at the downtown Los Angeles law firm of Lynberg & Watkins and then moved on to McCune & Harber, also located in Los Angeles. Having a desire to work closer to home, she left the big city in 2001. Her career moved to the Inland Empire office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith. In 2005, she began serving as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Rialto. In 2008, the Law Office of Kathy M. Gandara was established.
Throughout her career, Kathy has represented both public entity and private clients in civil litigation matters. Her practice now focuses on workplace investigations and Title IX campus investigations.
In addition to experience and knowledge obtained while handling employment-related cases and investigations, Kathy has received extensive training geared specifically for workplace investigators. She also attended the National Institute for Workplace Investigators presented by the Association of Workplace Investigators and obtained a Certificate of Completion.
Kathy has investigated various types of employment matters, including claims of discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, disparate treatment, hostile work environment and other workplace misconduct.
Kathy is a Certified Title IX Investigator, having obtained extensive training through ATIXA (Association of Title IX Administrators) in 2015 and T9 Mastered, Training for Campus Investigators; including trauma-informed training in 2016.
